Position Overview
The Field Surveyor position will be responsible for assisting grade crews and asphalt crews with daily survey and layout needs, setting up and maintaining equipment for asphalt and grade crews for 3d grade control operations.
This is an entry level to mid-level position.

What You'll Do:
* Assist with the planning, design, and development of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, roadways, intersections, bridges, and multimodal facilities.
* Prepare engineering calculations, exhibits, reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
* Develop construction plans and specifications utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and other industry-standard software.
* Support roadway geometric design, grading, drainage analysis, stormwater management, and utility coordination efforts.
* Coordinate with internal project teams, clients, agencies, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
* Ensure designs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including AASHTO, FHWA, and DOT standards.

What You Need to Succeed:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, required
* 0-4 years of transportation engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op experience.
* Understanding of transportation design principles and engineering processes.
* Experience with MicroStation, Geopak and/or Open roads preferred.
Compensation
The approximate compensation range for this position is $68,000 to $88,000.
This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
