ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a General Laborer to support operations at the Quarry located in Rockville, MD from 1:00pm - 1:00am.
A General Laborer is responsible for performing general labor duties at an aggregate quarry, including safely operating power tools, assisting with equipment maintenance and minor mechanical or electrical repairs, and working around heavy machinery in a demanding outdoor environment.
Seeking a dependable, safety-focused individual with industrial or construction experience who is physically capable, mechanically inclined, and able to follow directions while taking initiative on daily tasks.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
* Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by shoveling, sweeping, and removing debris around plant and quarry areas.
* Proficient in the safe and effective use of power tools (grinders, drills, saws, etc.)
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs
* Basic electrical knowledge, including wiring, troubleshooting, and maintenance support
* Experience working around or assisting with heavy equipment (loaders, crushers, conveyors) preferred
