Ardurra is seeking a CAD Technician III to support our Public Works team in San Antonio, TX!
This role supports municipal utility and infrastructure projects, with a focus on water, wastewater, sanitary sewer, force mains, and storm drainage systems serving treatment facilities and municipal systems.

Our San Antonio team works closely with local agencies on critical infrastructure projects impacting over two million residents.
Primary Function
The CAD Technician III performs intermediate to advanced drafting and production support for municipal utility and public works projects.
This role works closely with engineers and designers to produce accurate, high-quality construction documents from engineering markups and redlines.
This is a production-focused role, not a design lead position.
Primary Responsibilities
* Prepare civil CAD drawings for water, wastewater, sanitary sewer, force mains, and storm drainage systems (plan & profile, details, layouts)
* Develop and modify drawings using MicroStation (primary) and AutoCAD Civil 3D (secondary)
* Translate engineering markups and redlines into construction-ready plan sets
* Apply SAWS, City of San Antonio, and other municipal standards to all deliverables
* Support layout development for utility systems and drainage infrastructure
* Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness
* Assist with quantity takeoffs and basic documentation
* Maintain CAD standards, file organization, and drawing consistency
* Provide guidance and support to junior CAD technicians as needed
Education & Qualifications
* High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred
* 4-6 years of CAD drafting experience in civil / public works / municipal infrastructure
* Strong experience supporting water, wastewater, and/or drainage projects
* Proficiency in:
* MicroStation (required / primary tool)
* AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred / secondary)
Experience working with municipal standards (SAWS, City of San Antonio, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, profiles, and markups
Working knowledge of utility systems and drainage design
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a production environment

Primary Function
This position will work closely with Operations Managers, Principals, and other staff to drive business within the California market.
This role will involve collaborating with local water professionals to develop and implement an innovative business strategy, identifying and leading key regional pursuits, managing large multidisciplinary projects in wastewater treatment, water reuse, and biosolids, and building strategic relationships with clients and teaming partners.
Primary Duties
* Stay current on regulatory policy changes and maintain working relationships with regulatory officials.
* Contribute to business development efforts, including pursuit strategy, prepositioning, proposal development, and project interviews.
* Serve as a technical advisor to design teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle—planning, design, construction, startup and commissioning, and operations.
* Ensure joint accountability for project execution, quality, and financial performance.
* Mentor and supervise team members to build best-in-class capabilities.
* Strengthen technical skills within the team through staff development and recruitment.
* Manage projects to deliver a high level of quality within budget and schedule constraints.
* Act as a technology leader, recognized as a company/industry expert within your specialty.
* Experience in wastewater and reuse design, with an emphasis on treatment processes and plant design for consulting engineering.
