(ARA) is seeking a highly capable mechanical or structural engineer to support the design of specialized DoD infrastructure contributing directly to process and facility designs.
The selected candidate will play a key role in developing ARA’s internal design capability to support energetics manufacturing and testing infrastructure.
The candidate will contribute mechanical and/or structural engineering expertise across facility layouts, process integration, and equipment interface design.
This position will report into Senior Program and Engineering Leadership in Arlington, VA and will collaborate directly with mechanical/systems engineering teams, A&E subcontractors, and Government stakeholders.
This position will not have direct reporting employees.
Responsibilities:
* Develop internal mechanical and structural designs for energetics and high-hazard process systems, including preliminary equipment layouts, utility requirements, support structure design, and facility interface drawings.
* Utilize CAD software to model structures and systems.
Work with facility, process, and systems engineering teams to integrate and collaborate designs to form process and facility design packages.
* Perform engineering calculations and modeling to support design of mechanical systems, process layouts, and structural framing for custom manufacturing infrastructure.
* Compile presentations outlining technical achievements and progress.
Assist in presenting design rationale and technical data packages to Government customers.
* Review and comment on A&E design submittals (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC), ensuring they reflect technical requirements for process equipment, mechanical utilities, and structural systems.
* Coordinate and evaluate geotechnical reports, topographic surveys, and hazardous materials assessments to inform structural and mechanical design decisions.
* Serve as an internal subject matter expert in mechanical or structural design, supporting R&D teams on the development of innovative process infrastructure.
* Collaborate with chemical and systems engineers to develop facility and process layouts that align with operational requirements and DoD design criteria.
* Interface with A&E subcontractors to ensure detailed design packages align with internal engineering solutions and program goals.

This is a hands-on position, requiring physical labor and a proactive attitude to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
The starting hourly rate is $29.56/hr and the full rate is $34.01/hr.
HMA Professional (Hot Mixed Asphalt Production) - What Will You Do?
• Support operations through performing day-to-day Batching and plant activities.
• The HMA Professional's performance in this area is measured by the quality and accuracy of related asphalt manufacturing responsibilities.
• Complete proper and accurate material batching; inventory control, plant maintenance and plant problem solving; follows all company safety related policies at all times.
• Mechanical and Electrical Experience to help trouble shoot any plant problems or issues.
Qualifications?
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to lean.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.
• Valid driver’s license and compliant with NESL driving standards.

Ardurra is seeking a Sr Project Manager to join our staff in Albuquerque, NM.
Summary
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the growing Ardurra family in the our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering practices.
You will support our growth in New Mexico and help to manage and design a wide variety of exciting transportation and civil engineering/land development projects throughout the region.
This includes projects such as: DOT, City, and Municipal infrastructure, industrial, parks and recreation, residential, commercial, and drainage/stormwater, public works, roadway and utility design for private projects and utility production and distribution.
Primary Function
* Manage and provide design support on a variety of transportation and civil engineering projects (both public and private) to support our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering practices.
* Frequent collaboration with other engineering departments (transportation, public works, water/wastewater, and surveying) within Ardurra.
* Assist with client interface, budgets, and schedules, and executes on time/on budget project delivery.
* Assist with preparing project proposals, scope/fees, and RFP responses.
* Help plan, organize, and supervise design activities for a variety of complex civil engineering projects (e.g., a multi-structure facility requiring frequent interface and collaboration with various consultants and disciplines).
* Coordinate with project design team members, clients, contractors, subconsultants, and permit agency representatives regularly.
* Prepare and review technical engineering reports and calculations.
* Facilitate and collaborate during project construction administration by interacting with the construction team/GC, reviewing Shop Drawings/submittals, and addressing RFIs.
Education and Experience Requirements
* Professional Engineering (PE) License
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management
* Engineering and design experience in New Mexico and/or Southwest US, preferred
* Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
* BS in Civil Engineering
* Business development and client relationship skills
* Strong understanding of financial management
