Your Impact & Responsibilities
As a Dietary Cook, you will manage the kitchen operations to ensure excellence in every meal:
* Culinary Excellence: Prepare tasteful, appealing meals for a variety of diets, ensuring food presentation is inviting for our residents.
* Specialized Nutrition: Accurately prepare special diets and pureed foods to meet the specific clinical needs of our residents.
* Quality Control: Follow prepared menus and portion control guides strictly; record food temperatures for every meal to ensure safety.
* Kitchen Leadership: Manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor, including overseeing cleaning schedules and supervising staff.
* Sanitation & Safety: Maintain the kitchen and cooking areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary manner; ensure sanitizer buckets (quaternary solution) are properly maintained.
* Resident Advocacy: Assist with meal service and report any resident care concerns or potential issues directly to the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
* Training: Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of the dietary staff.
Qualifications
* Experience: At least one year of experience as a cook in a hospital, skilled nursing, or long-term care facility is required.
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
* Skills: Ability to cook in large quantities, follow complex menus, and maintain harmony with personnel across all departments.

Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Dietary Aide, you will ensure our kitchen and dining services run seamlessly:
* Meal Preparation & Service: Carefully assemble and set up resident meal trays according to dietary requirements.
Distribute meals and snacks, ensuring every resident is served with a smile.
* Sanitation Excellence: Collect and clean used meal trays, wash dishes, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the dish room.
* Equipment Oversight: Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine, strictly monitoring water temperatures and chlorine levels to ensure total sanitation.
* Inventory & Storage: Restock groceries and kitchen supplies using safe and sanitary "first-in, first-out" practices.
* Kitchen Maintenance: Assist with general housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, and deep-cleaning work surfaces and refrigerators.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Help orient and train new dietary staff and maintain positive, effective communication with all department personnel.
Qualifications
* A strong sense of reliability and punctuality.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow safety and sanitation protocols.
* Prior experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or healthcare setting is a plus, but we are ready to train dedicated individuals!
