Purpose: The Associate Scientist will support the development of new process and materials characterization capabilities, working at the intersection of materials formulations, process engineering, and physiochemical properties characterization.
This position offers hands-on experimental experience, cross-functional collaboration, and rich growth opportunities in a fast-paced R&D environment.
You will:
* Plan, execute, and document experiments to characterize new formulations and processing methods.
* Apply a range of analytical techniques to assess physiochemical properties (e.g., particle size distribution, rheology, thermal analysis, spectroscopy, and microstructure characterization).
* Develop and optimize characterization methods and workflows to support formulation and process development.
* Collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings in clear technical reports and presentations.
* Collaborate with formulations, process engineering, and quality/compliance teams to translate characterization results into actionable process improvements.
* Maintain accurate and compliant lab notebooks, instrument records, and supporting documentation.
