Legal Analyst I
General Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Analyst I to join our team in an in-office capacity.
This role is designed for a self-starter with strong analytical skills and an interest in legal compliance, insurance reporting, and regulatory obligations.
The Legal Analyst I will support the organization by managing insurance reporting processes and ensuring compliance with CMS Section 111 Reporting requirements under the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) statute.
This position offers exposure to both legal and operational functions, making it an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals looking to grow in the legal and compliance field.
Essential Duties
* Assist with insurance reporting and tracking across General Liability (GL), Professional Liability (PL).
* Maintain accurate claims databases and organize claim-related correspondence.
* Support communication with insurance carriers, brokers, and regulatory entities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Perform CMS Section 111 Reporting duties, including data collection, validation, and submission in compliance with federal requirements.
* Utilize Excel and other reporting tools for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
* Assist with monthly reporting packages for internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for claims processing and compliance reporting.
* Identify and escalate potential issues related to insurance claims, CMS reporting, or compliance processes.
Qualification
Education and/or Experience
* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience or coursework in insurance reporting, claims management, or regulatory compliance preferred.
* Familiarity with CMS Section 111 Reporting or willingness to learn compliance requirements under the Medicare Secondary Payer statute.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
