In Process Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Schneider Electric is seeking an In Process Quality Technician for incoming inspection on 1st shift to join our team in Mt Juliet, TN.

If you have a strong background in testing low and medium voltage products, coupled with the ability to collaborate closely with Engineering, we want to hear from you.

What will your responsibilities be?


* Conduct thorough testing of low and medium voltage products including Switchgears, Switchboards, Panelboards, Breakers, and MCCs.



* Collaborate with Engineering to identify issues with electrical drawings.



* Follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), maintain the Repair/Calibration database, ensure accurate job entries and record-keeping.



* Prepare detailed service and failure records while meeting project deadlines with a strong customer focus.



* Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and maintain it in good condition.

Immediately report hazards, incidents, and accidents to supervisors.

Adhere to Provincial HS&E legislation, regulations, and company policies.



* High school diploma or GED required.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

without company sponsorship and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.



* Preferred Qualification: Enrollment in or completion of a Residential, Commercial, or Industrial Electricity program at an accredited vocational school, technical college, or university.



* Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of electrical equipment.

Proficient with High Pot Test Set, Current Injector, Megger insulation resistance meter, Multi Meter, Relay Test Set, and Corona Test Set.



* Skilled in validating and correcting technical documents, including test procedures.

Able to manage technical tasks independently with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret schematics.



* Effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills (written and oral), strong organizational abilities, and computer proficiency.



* Preferred Qualification: OSHA 10 Certification (General Industry or Construction).

Basic Requirements:


* PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required; safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor



* Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment, where prolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift.



* Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work.



* Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.
