Maintenance Technician
Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities.
This role requires a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
The technician must be able to travel to various work locations on demand.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect buildings and structures to identify functional systems, malfunctions, and needed repairs.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts,
and cords.
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing hoses.
• Carry out minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work including surface preparation, painting, and hardware installation.
• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of facilities.
• Operate and maintain mechanical tools, paint equipment, and floor machines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate from trade school or equivalent work experience in facilities or maintenance.
• Basic understanding of facility systems and maintenance procedures.
• Must have own transportation (truck) and a good driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard powered and non-powered tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various work locations on demand.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in various indoor and outdoor environments.
May involve exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions.
