Zone Machine Operator (U), 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:                      Under the supervision of a Production supervisor, will perform the following duties: operate & adjust any of the following equipment in any combination as required by the manufacturing process: auto packer, capper, checkweigher, snorkler, labeler, shrink bundler, unit cartoner, carton erector, depalletizer, button tipper, filler, gasser, in-feed, case sealer & other equipment as required.

Must be able to properly understand and complete any or all necessary paperwork.

Responsible for performing work in a quality manner and producing a quality product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Clean, inspect & lubricate machines


* Staging & de-staging of components to line as needed


* Count components for physical inventory as required by Line Leader & Production Supervisor


* Make product changeovers & perform required preventative maintenance


* Perform quality inspection checks & remove samples as required to ensure product meets quality standards


* Complete all required production/quality documentation in an accurate & timely manner


* Enter accurate & timely information into production tickets in computer system


* Stack all production according to master specification sheet pallet patterns & attach tickets to skids


* Clean assigned area &/or machine after changeover is complete immediately after the end of shift


* Perform all duties with extreme safety consciousness & with regard for the safety of other personnel


* Perform other department duties as directed by Line Leader or Production Supervisor


* Notify Line Leader or Line Mechanic of machine issue that cannot be resolved immediately


* Perform all labor grade #1 & #2 duties when assigned


* Attend all meetings as required by Line Leader


* Some duties may vary slightly by location
