DME Tech

We are looking for a Sleep Tech or Respiratory Tech for a day shift position providing DME services for our Sleep Center patients.

Schedule is four, 10-hour shifts 7:00a-5:30p

Hiring range is between $29.85-$37.40 and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience.

As a Durable Medical Equipment Technician (DME tech) you will:


* Utilize protocols developed by Sleep Medical Directors and RPSGTs, provide therapeutic interventions for observed sleep dysfunction, measure and evaluate the results of interventions and make necessary adjustments resulting in a prescription for durable medical equipment.


* Provide home sleep study set-up instructions.


* Configure positive airway pressure (PAP) devices, perform mask fittings, and educate patients regarding PAP therapy and use of equipment and supplies.


* Answer and return phone calls from established patients, provide continuing support and troubleshooting to maximize patient adherence to therapy.


* Provide appropriate patient instructions for sleep related needs including but not limited to; correct use of PAP therapy, mask fittings, follow up instructions, scheduling procedures and compliance requirements.


* Record and report all unusual occurrences to providers and supervisor.


* Maintain patient records and confidentiality per standard procedure.


* Accurately charge autofill and rental billing.

Requirements:


* PSG Tech, or RPSGT, or Respiratory Tech required.


* Minimum of one year of experience with sleep-related durable medical equipment.


* Current Health Care Provider BLS certification.


* Experience with electronic health record.


* If Respiratory Tech - active WA state license required.


* If PSG Tech - BRPT registered or will be required to obtain within six months of hire.

Pay Range:
$29.28 - $43.92
