Job Summary
Under the direction of the Craft Workforce Development Manager and/or Director of Craft Workforce Development, the Electrical Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom and hands-on training in electrical craft disciplines within the organization's training programs.
The instructor ensures training aligns with National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) standards and Department of Labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and administer NCCER electrical assessments, including scheduling, delivery, and tracking.
Develop and execute training for electrical apprenticeship and skill-upgrade programs.
Collaborate with the Craft Training Coordinator to ensure training records are accurately maintained and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintain the integrity and quality of all electrical craft training programs.
Develop and deliver electrical craft training courses, covering topics such as wiring, conduit bending, electrical theory, and safety standards.
Represent the organization in schools, educational institutions, and industry associations to enhance workforce development initiatives.
Work closely with project teams to integrate on-the-job training opportunities.
Minimum Job Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of electrical field experience in a construction or industrial environment.
Education & Certification: NCCER Electrical Certification preferred or must obtain within six months of employment.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
* Experience delivering training and education to field personnel (preferred).
* Bilingual abilities are a plus.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
