Director Facilities Engineering

Work Schedule :

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position.

Shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

We are seeking a Director Facilities Engineering to:


* Lead facility maintenance and engineering services across the UW Health system, including facilities management, engineering services, energy program, safety, emergency management, radiation safety, and fleet management.


* Lead the strategic direction of the maintenance and engineering services team across our six hospitals, ambulatory clinics, and administrative locations in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.


* Lead development of business cases for standardization/process improvement and implement change.


* Provide expertise and program leadership for compliance with NFPA, TJC, and CMS codes and regulations.


* Prepare and manage annual capital and operational budgets related to maintenance and engineering services, including a comprehensive facility infrastructure capital plan.

Qualifications



* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in in Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field Required


* Master's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Architecture Preferred

Work Experience



* 7 years relevant experience in the management of Facilities Engineering; including building construction and remodeling activities, project management and/or equipment repair and maintenance) in a large academic health care setting Required


* Has held administrative position in a large academic or complex health program that included Facilities Engineering specific services Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Wisconsin registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect Preferred
