General Purpose
The Acquisitions Office Specialist is responsible for performing human resources-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions in acquisitions.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, i9 compliance, background check compliance, arbitration agreement compliance, and HR audits for new assets.
Essential Duties
• Conduct regular audits of HR activities to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide guidance on compliance matters during policy and program development.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning compliance activities.
• Train and educate employees on regulations and industry practices pertaining to onboarding compliance
• Address employee concerns or questions
• Stay abreast of internal standards and business goals.
• Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, wage hour audits, and others.
• Sends out new i9s/background checks for acquisition employees.
Complete i9 section 2 and all remaining tasks in i9 process.
• Gives quality customer service to building employees.
