Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities:

Initial Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to assess residents' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and cognitive skills.

• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based practices to address residents' specific needs and goals.

• Direct Patient Care: Provide direct one-on-one and group therapy sessions to improve motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive function, and overall independence.

• Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize various therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as:


* Sensory integration therapy


* Biomechanical approaches


* Cognitive rehabilitation


* Community re-entry training


* Adaptive equipment training

• Discharge Planning: Develop comprehensive discharge plans, including recommendations for home modifications, assistive devices, and community resources.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and effective care.

• Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, Medicare, and state licensing boards.
