Electronics Design Engineer

We at Schneider Electric are searching for our next Experienced Electronics Design Engineer, R&D Hardware development!

What we are looking for

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electronic Design Engineer to help with the development of Schneider Electric's Fire and Security systems Hardware, located in Lund, Sweden.

Schneider Electric Digital Buildings Fire & Safety operations develops Intelligent fire control system solutions to help customers create a safe and reliable environment for its occupants.

Our systems are mainly used in commercial buildings like Offices, Hospitals, Hotels, Shopping malls and Airports.

We seek someone that likes responsibility and wants to take ownership of a products entire lifespan, from idea through development, during mass production and when reaching EOL.

Besides being comfortable with solving problems, designing and verifying the solutions you also must have experience from PDM and revision control systems, Quality Processes, FMEA, Cyber Security and various electronic platforms such as STM32, ARM Cortex and FPGAs.

We need someone that feels at home when you a see a Schematic, can tell the difference between analog and digital design, knows which end of the solder iron that is hot, is used to Oscilloscopes and multimeters and wants to join and contribute to a very positive, creative and fun team.

You will be part of a team that includes Electronic Design, PCB design, Mechanical design, Component engineers, Compliance and environmental engineers.

In this role you will be working in a cross-functional team with close cooperation with FW and SW teams, industrialization, factories and product management.

Required skills and experiences


* Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.


* At least 8-10 years of hands-on electronic design including schematics design and verification.


* Understanding of PCB layout complexity and requirements.


* Strong organizational-, prioritization- and time management skills.


* Fluency in English, Swedish is a plus
