The Internship Program is a full-time, 10-12 week program focused on providing graduate students with practical experience in data science and real-world data analysis.

During the internship, the participant will engage in a project-based assignment that offers opportunities to expand knowledge and experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and presentation of real-world evidence in optometry and ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn about data science applications in the medical devices industry through mentorship and conversations with senior data scientists and business leaders.

• Engage in data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation of real-world evidence related to ophthalmic products and treatment outcomes.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis and develop reporting dashboards to communicate findings effectively.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of studies that assess the effectiveness of ophthalmic solutions based on real-world data.

• Enhance skills in statistical modeling and visualization using tools like R or Python.Education:

• Current enrollment in an accredited College/University is required.

• Candidates must have completed at least 1 year of graduate studies in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related fields.

• A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required.

Requirements:

• Intermediate knowledge of programming languages such as Python and/or R.

• Familiarity with data science platforms ( e.g., Databricks, Dataiku, Snowflake, etc.
