The Facilities Management Architectural Designer / Project Manager will provide technical and design expertise, along with team leadership, in project management, design, and construction methodology.

The Architectural Designer / Project Manager will oversee facilities-related projects from initiation to close-out, addressing evolving business needs to support strategic growth and other key business objectives.

Responsibilities also include development and maintenance of square footage allocations, real estate reporting, and updating floorplans to reflect occupancy across our district.  

Key Responsibilities: 


*  Manage moderate to large-scale projects, including office remodels, major construction renovations, and technical projects, with minimal oversight. 


* Utilize AutoCAD software to develop construction documents and construction details including floor plans, elevations, sections, and schedules. 


* Update district as-built conditions and maintain square footage documents and district real estate reports utilizing knowledge in IBC and BOMA. 


* Initiate and oversee all project phases, including programming, design, scheduling, move coordination, procurement, contractor management, project monitoring, and close-out procedures. 


* Provide technical expertise and project oversight to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and jurisdictional codes.  

 

Qualifications: 


* Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, interior architecture, or a related field or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience. 


* ​Typically does not require any experience.


* Proficiency in AutoCAD. 


* Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC) and the Building Owners & Management Association (BOMA) standards is strongly preferred. 


* Strong knowledge of building and life safety codes is strongly preferred. 


* Understanding and interpretation of construction documents (architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, security, etc.), along with the ability and knowledge to field verify and document existing conditions is preferred.
