Description

Under minimal direction of senior staff, performs an assortment of engineering duties such as electrical system design, product selection, and overseeing the installation of electrical systems and products.

Provides support and mentoring to all engineers and associates to further their technical and professional development.

Consults with clients on electrical expertise to define needs or problems, and advise on recommended solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


* Designs and specifies complete electrical systems, facilities, components, and products with no supervision.


* Responsibilities also include client and management interface, as well as management of electrical engineering schedule and budgets.


* Collaborates with engineering personnel in the creation of electrical system design.


* Research products to meet the design criteria for complete and operational systems.


* Perform and review complex analysis, calculations, design, evaluation and inspection for specific areas of technical expertise which includes Power, Lighting, Telecommunications, and additional special systems to support project objectives.


* Review project requirements and specifications and confer with other disciplines and managers to determine assistance required in plan preparation, evaluation of project conditions, design changes and reports.


* Performs detailed technical and peer reviews.


* Develops high quality technical documents including specifications, engineering design files, and reports.


* Perform client and project needs assessments, determine, and discuss potential solutions, and ensure satisfactory customer service.


* Attend project meetings to present design concepts and make adjustments to meet client requirements.


* Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.


* Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May provide guidance or informal training for less experienced personnel.

Professional Requirements


* 20+ years related experience.


* BS in Engineering or related field.
