Corporate Food Technology Intern Summer 2025

Kroger is looking for current college students who are interested in gaining on the job training, mentorship, and real-world experience in their field of choice.

Summer 2025 Rotation Dates: May 19 - August 8.

Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).


* Minimum
Pursuing a degree in food science, food microbiology, food chemistry, preferred, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher


* Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work

* Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information


* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization


* Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite

Summer internship opportunity for college students in their sophomore or junior year of study.

The summer internship position is designed to prepare students for entry level, full-time positions upon successful completion of the summer internship program.

Interns will build technical and leadership competencies in the selected area of expertise while gaining a broad knowledge base of all core business functions critical to food safety and quality of Kroger processes and products.

Relocation is a requirement of the internship program.

Responsibilities:


* Apply theoretical concepts that have been learned in the classroom to hands-on work assignments


* Support Corporate Food Technology department and assist with activities of assigned department(s) including, but not limited to, product development, manufacturing food safety and quality, and retail food safety and regulatory compliance.


* Collaborate with other corporate groups to include Supply Chain Manufacturing, Own Brands, Merchandising, and Divisions to deliver business goals.
