About the role:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Spring Intern to join our Warrick Power Plant Engineering team.

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in various engineering functions and contribute to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:


* Support the Machine Guard Audit Program.


* Assist with performance testing for boilers, turbines, pulverizers, heat exchangers, and pumps.


* Contribute to the Maintenance Job Planning - Work Task Breakdown Initiative.


* Engage in process engineering functions that benefit both the intern and the company.


* Present project outcomes at the intern symposium at the end of the spring.

To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success we desire the following background:

Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities:


* Currently pursuing a degree in BS Engineering or BS Engineering Technology, with a focus on Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.

Would also consider and Industrial AS with focus on Instrumentation & Controls


* No previous job-related experience required.


* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


* Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.


* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively


* Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week (40 hours preferred) within the hours of a normal day shift (anywhere from as early as 6:30 am until as late as 4 pm with flexibility within those hours)
