Patient Care Technician

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: 

The Preceptor delivers member support through a variety of approaches and procedures resulting in high quality care throughout the member’s journey with Fresenius Health Partners.

The Preceptor provides members with guidance and support and coordinates with Providers, Clinics, Facilities, and other vendors to ensure care is delivered effectively and producing best possible outcomes.

The Preceptor will collaborate with the training team and deliver department related training, as needed.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   


* Under minimal supervision, applies extensive program knowledge to perform a broad range of tasks commensurate with multiple program area experience and business need.


* Works on assignments that are complex, while identifying and developing areas of improvement through critical analysis and an understanding of business needs.


* Reviews work instructions, policies, and procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy.


* Acts as a subject matter expert on special assignments and may be selected to lead special project teams.


* Partners with the Training Department to provide support to new hire training  and refresher trainings as needed.

 


* Member interactions involve a detailed exchange of information with in-depth use of probing questions


* Normally receives no instruction on routine daily work, and general goals for newly introduced assignments.


* Provides assistance as a subject matter expert with more complex support tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions, as directed by Supervisor.


* May escalate issues to Supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.


* Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.


* Assists with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.


* Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:  


* Expected to mentor other Service Operations Specialists as selected by management.

 

EDUCATION:  


* High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable.

 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:    


* Two or more years related experience.


* Ability to communicate scope and structure of program areas as they support the mission and vision of Fresenius Health Partners.


* Demonstrated proficiency in multiple program areas.


* Clear and persuasive verbal communication skill.


* Clear and concise written communication skill.


* Commendable call quality and customer service.
