Maryport, Cumbria

Permanent, Full and Part Time hours available (37.5 hpw if FT)

Salary £23,464 per year [pro rata for PT hours] (£12.00 per hour) plus, Great Benefits including Health Cash Plan!

We have a rewarding opportunity for you to join our care team in Maryport as our supported living worker.

You will get to work with our brilliant customers helping them live fulfilling lives within their own homes as well as within the local community. 

Working in our brand new CQC registered service you will be at the heart of supporting our customers making a big difference to our five adults, all of whom have learning disabilities and/or autism and require 24/7 support.

You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.

 

Typical day as our Supported Living Worker (CQC)


* Providing regulated care, which will include administration of medication, provision of personal care including support with bathing and dressing.


* You will assist customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.


* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting and providing support in the community.


* Support attending appointments, taking part in hobbies and interests or attend college or work.


* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews


* Cuppas, chats and catch ups.

There’s no rushing from customer to the next here, and there is plenty of time to work together with your colleagues too.

You have


* A Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or are prepared to work towards it.


* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.


* Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before of have experience of caring for others such as family members or children


* Experience of working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure and having a resilient approach


* A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognising every customer is different.
