Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:


* Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate


* Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment


* Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary


* Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms


* Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment


* Employee must have his or her own hand tools to perform their daily tasks


* Mandatory attendance at semi-annual graduation

 

Knowledge, Education & Experience:


* High School Diploma or GED minimum with field experience


* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including problem-solving and decision-making


* Maintain a positive attitude and strong student focus to inspire, engage, and coach potential students


* Proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities


* Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test
