We are looking for a EU Road Network Officer based in Diegem, Belgium. 

What’s your challenge?

For the transportation of its customer’s shipments, DHL Express relies on an extensive air network as well as a large road network.

The Brussels based Road Network team focuses on the organization of the international road transport movements within DHL Express Europe.

The EUROAD Officer monitors all road movement information: check whether the departure, arrival and load details are logged into the system.

If that is not the case: proactively seek information and provide follow-up.

 Prevent reporting mistakes and/or schedule incidents by proactively seeking information across the network. 

 
 

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?



* Contact all concerned DHL Gateways/Stations in the network for a.o.

planning & authorization of delays, technical and contingency actions.


* Check all information relating to truck departures and arrivals across Europe that is logged in the system.

Proactively seek information if not logged 15 min after scheduled time of departure/arrival.


* Seek, obtain and verify all available information for movements running 30 minutes late on planned schedule and report to RNE Dispatcher.


* Active follow up of the GPS system. 


* Communicate delay information.


* Arrange additional transportation if required.

 

Do you have what it takes?



* A background in road line haul is an advantage.


* You possess the ability to perform in a team (exchange information) and to work under time pressure.


* PC proficiency.


* Spoken and written Dutch and English, spoken German.

Any other language is an asset.


* Good oral communication skills.


* You ‘ve got an eye for details.
