Gateway Facility Technician

Supervisory Responsibilities:


* None

Duties/Responsibilities:


* Conduct routine inspections and identify any maintenance or repairs needed


* Perform minor repairs, such as fixing broken windows, doors, or furniture


* Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as plumbing or electrical issues


* Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to complete major repairs, upgrades, and regular maintenance


* Maintain all necessary equipment, tools, and supplies


* Monitor building systems, such as UPS, generator, HVAC, lighting, security, and other systems, to ensure that are adequately working


* Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, such as fire codes and OSHA regulations


* Assist furniture and equipment moves


* Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs


* Communicate effectively with other staff members to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure a safe and productive work environment


* Support the operations team with their duties when staff is limited, or facility duties have been completed


* Serve in an on-call capacity when critical gateway issues arise

Required Skills/Abilities:


* Strong technical skills, including knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team


* Strong communication and organizational skills


* Able to perform electrical work

Education and Experience:


* High School diploma or equivalent


* Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field


* Additional training in facility maintenance preferred


* Familiarity with relevant safety and regulatory requirements, such as fire codes and OSHA regulations

 

Physical Requirements:


* Able to lift heavy objects


* Able to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and climbing ladders
