Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infection Prevention Nurse to oversee our facility's infection control program.

The Infection Prevention Nurse will play a critical role in preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases within our facility.

This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and infection prevention.

Responsibilities:


* Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.


* Monitor compliance with infection control practices among staff members and provide education and training as needed.


* Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and implement appropriate interventions to prevent outbreaks.


* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address infection control issues.


* Investigate and respond to suspected outbreaks of infectious diseases, including performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.


* Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on infection prevention practices for staff, residents, and families.


* Stay current on the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines related to infection prevention and control.


* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys related to infection control.

Qualifications:


* LVN with current licensure in the state of California.


* Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.


* Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare setting.


* Strong clinical background with knowledge of infectious diseases, microbiology, and epidemiology.


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and train staff members.


* Experience developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures.


* Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.


* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
