We have an immediate opening for a Claims Specialist at our Little Canada, MN office.

 

SUMMARY

The Claims Specialist is responsible for supporting Safety/Operations performing administrative duties as required by the Claims Manager.

Prior insurance (Auto/GL/WC) experience is a plus

Primary Responsibilities Include:


* Assisting the Claims Manager with claims files and loss reporting.


* Receiving first reports of incident on general liability, injury, and auto claims.


* Requesting investigation documentation from Foremen and Supervisors.


* Requesting Police reports.


* Claims file data input.


* Assisting with providing the Operations Group and clients with periodic Loss Reports.


* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


* Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written.


* Ability to work with field employees on investigations.


* Leadership skills and the ability to effectively develop strong working relationships.


* Ability to share expertise with others and continually build their knowledge and skills.


* Advanced knowledge of computers and Windows based software and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications that are employed to improve process and efficiency.


* Respond promptly to departmental needs and resolve all issues satisfactorily.


* Maintain confidentiality at all times.


* Ability to build a positive team spirit.


* Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in everything you do.

Education:


* High School diploma required, post-secondary preferred.
