Infrastructure Specialist

Position Title: Infrastructure Specialist

Reports To: Director, Infrastructure and Security

Schedule : Monday through Friday business hours and additional as required

Location : Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Position Supervised : None

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in business/technical field or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required

Languages: English

Traits: Provide a well-versed analytical problem-solving approach and rigorous attention to detail.

Analyze open infrastructure requests with the ability to enunciate business value and prioritization.

Translate business requirements to technical requirements.

Document current and future state technology roadmaps.

Escalate scope and business expectation risks both internally and externally.

Preferred Qualifications

Skills/Software: Act as project manager and technical support representative.

Perform basic cost-benefit/return on investment analysis.

Mentor, lead, and train other team members.

Develop and grow relationships with operational subject matter experts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:


* Provide Help Desk support to end-users that work remote, in an office, and on a vessel.


* Travel to offices and vessels to resolve IT issues that can't be solved remotely.


* Configure, Install, and Support end user devices including desktops, laptops, virtual desktop infrastructure, applications, printers, and peripherals.


* Build, Configure, Install, Monitor and Support the Local Area Networks, including troubleshooting all IP traffic from each end-point and internal switch to the edge router for the company and fleet networks.


* Build, Configure, Install, Monitor, Support and Promote Wireless capable endpoints for the company and fleet networks.


* Configure, Manage and Monitor network hardware, including servers, routers, switches, gateways, network load balancers, network caching devices, firewalls, and others, coordinating multiple vendor solutions for the company and fleet networks.


* Install, Configure, Test and Update Operating Systems, Firmware and related enterprise-class software and monitoring systems for all desktop/laptop, networking related systems, and wireless devices for the company and fleet networks.


* Creates and Updates Documentation and Diagrams for the network architecture and ensures Audit Compliance.


* Design, Configure, Manage and Monitor Data & Voice Providers from both the company and fleet networks.
