Payroll Associate

Maintain and process payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages due, accruals, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Processes payroll for multi-state/multi-company payrolls
Maintain employee payroll deductions including garnishments and levies.
Process terminations per state requirements.
Respond to payroll questions and issues.
Compute wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions
Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
Providing general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, processing confidential reports and documents.
Exercises individual judgment while dealing with potential or real troubles.

Must be able to effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations.
Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
Must have in depth knowledge of and be able to correctly apply payroll tax law.
Understanding of child support and other wage withholdings.
Experience processing payroll for multi-state company.
Ability to perform (RCA) root cause analysis of issues to find ways to improve processes and eliminate defects.

Education and Experience:

UKG experience preferred.
Associate’s degree preferred.

5+ years of payroll experience required.
