RN – Neurology Clinic

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Day shifts with no weekends, no holidays.

Partial remote work option after orientation.

This position will primarily be at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:


* Join our world-class interdisciplinary team of providers, nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other skilled team members to provide life-changing care for brain and nervous system disorders; allowing patients with neurological disorders to live the best life possible!


* Contribute to a highly collaborative team and learning environment, where everyone's voice is valued, staff wellbeing is a priority and critical thinking, and questions are encouraged.


* Engage in collaboration, serving as the touchpoint for patients via MyChart, phone and in-person.

Programs within the neurology clinic include: epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, MS, neuromuscular disorders, neuro-oncology, neuropsychology and stoke, and general neurology.


* Serve as an educator for patients and their families regarding therapies, treatment plans and medications.


* Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures, muscle biopsies and botox injections.


* Participate in research and clinical trials in partnership with providers and other team members, that can help advance care for all neurological patients.

Qualifications



* Graduate of school of nursing Required


* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience



* 6 months of RN experience Required


* Relevant RN experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required


* CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required


* Applicable clinical certification Preferred
