Senior VoIP Administrator

Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Administrator to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

This person will work with a collaborative team to provide expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and technologies for a federal client's critical communication needs.

As an integral member of our team, the VoIP Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of VoIP solutions.

This position offers a flexible hybrid/telecommute schedule.

The onsite and telecommute arrangement is determined by the site team and may change based on government or operational needs.

Candidates should reside within a commutable distance and be able to report onsite as required by the government customer.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and maintain VoIP systems, incorporating a diverse range of VoIP technologies and platforms.

• Monitor and analyze the performance and availability of VoIP systems, utilizing monitoring tools and protocols, and take proactive actions to prevent and resolve issues.

• Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments for VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance and call quality.

• Implement and manage VoIP protocols, codecs, and technologies to ensure efficient and high-quality voice communication.

• Administer user accounts, extensions, call routing, and other VoIP system configurations, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP-related issues, including call quality, connectivity, and system outages.

• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to support the integration of new VoIP technologies and features.

• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in VoIP technologies and incorporate relevant advancements.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members on VoIP administration best practices.

Minimum Requirements

TCS248, T3, Band 6

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S.

citizens with no dual citizenship.

•7+ years of experience as a VoIP Admin or related field.

• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.

Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

• Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion.

This includes being on-site during the transition period.

Must be based around Annapolis Junction, MD.
