Position: Reporting to the Global Human Resources Leader, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing HR support to the regional directors, operations team, and internal and external employees.  The HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for the administration of TEKsystems’ human resources policies, procedures, and programs in support of internal compliance, and for a broad range of day-to-day human resource functions including employee relations, employee development, and performance management.

This role will sit in Mississauga, Ontario.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities and Priorities:


* Provide HR support to managers including assistance with performance management and employee relations matters


* Ensure all company policies and procedures, progressive counseling, terminations, and all other human resources practices comply with Federal and Provincial legislation, regulations, and standards


* Investigate and address employee complaints


* Collaborate with the Lead HRBP in Canada to proactively identify people trends and needs within Canadian business teams and propose solutions to address gaps


* Assist with employee offboarding administration and conduct exit interviews with departing internal employees


* Maintain HR people reporting as assigned and determined necessary by business


* Provide guidance and support employee leave of absence and accommodation requests


* Create employment letters, termination letters, and agreements in support of employment conditions changes


* Maintain accurate and complete employee records within the human resources matter management system


* Responsible for providing consultation to employees on HR practices, policies, and procedures


* Collaborate with the legal, compliance, and HR team members to support HR compliance projects


* Support HR strategies and other initiatives or projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education/Background:



* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources Management


* CHRP designation or working towards designation would be an asset


* 1 - 3 years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist, preferably with a focus on employee relations matters
