About the Role

Are you a skilled procurement professional with a passion for managing complex sourcing and supply activities? We’re seeking a Capital Procurement Specialist to join the team at our Bindjareb office, located at Pinjarra WA and ensure the efficient acquisition of materials, equipment and services.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager – Sustaining Capital, you will be working with and supporting Project Managers for allocated projects across our sustaining capital program for our Refining and Mining locations in Western Australia and our Smelter in Portland Victoria.

In this role, you will be responsible for:


* Stakeholder engagement and commercial leadership in development of category strategies and project procurement plans that are aligned with the capital program and procurement functional objectives.


* Identification and assessment of commercial risk and proactive development of mitigation strategies,


* Effective sourcing through an appropriate sourcing methodology and contracting strategies to ensure the efficient achievement of project goals while reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).


* Leading the negotiation process and contract administration of all procurement packages of assigned projects.


* Leading the resolution of commercial issues associated with supplier performance within assigned projects.


* Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction and supplier performance improvement, including alternative suppliers and products.

On commencement, your onboarding will take place out of our Bindjareb office for the initial month to ensure you receive all the training support required whilst having the opportunity to connect with the wider team.

Once you're all set up, you'll then transition onto site projects where flexibility to base yourself between Bindjareb office and our corporate office at Booragoon whilst utilising our working from home arrangements in order to support you in balancing the commute to Bindjareb when required.
