IT Communications Analyst III

ABOUT THE POSITION

The County of Riverside's RUHS Medical Center is seeking an experienced IT Communications Analyst III to join our dynamic Information Technology team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure.

This position involves hands-on network engineering, including routing, switching, and firewall management.

Key Responsibilities:


* Network Engineering: Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and security.


* Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with firewalls, ensuring robust security measures are implemented and maintained.


* Monitoring & Analysis: Utilize monitoring tools to continuously oversee network performance, identify potential issues, and proactively address them.


* Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve network-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to hospital operations.


* Security Tools Implementation: Implement and manage security tools to protect the network from potential threats.


* Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, drawings, issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications:


* Experience: Extensive hands-on experience with network engineering, including routing, switching, and firewall management.

Wireless management and troubleshooting experience is highly desired.


* Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in monitoring tools, with experience in SolarWinds highly desired.


* Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of network security principles and tools, including firewall implementation and management.


* Technical Expertise: Knowledge of Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, as well as experience with network switches and routing.


* Healthcare Background: Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of medical IT systems.
