The Opportunity


* Provide clinical supervision and instruction to residents in the emergency department.


* Work with the program director and a team of core faculty physicians to develop and implement educational curriculum, research, and scholarly activities.


* Ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation requirements.


* Help recruit, train, and mentor residents in an environment that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion.


* Evaluate resident performance and support achievement of milestones.


* Incorporate up-to-date emergency medicine best practices into the training program.


* Attend ED department meetings and contribute to operational and quality excellence of the department.

Required Experience and Competencies


* Medical degree (M.D.

or D.O) from an approved institution.


* Emergency Medicine board certification.


* Experience as an attending physician.


* Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.


* Strong team building, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


* Adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching and patient care.


* Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.


* Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.


* Dedication to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
