Linley Park Post Acute is a beautiful 88-bed skilled nursing and Rehab facility conveniently located in the heart of Anderson, South Carolina.

We are looking for a charismatic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).

You will have the passion, commitment, and drive to enrich the skills of all clinical staff who strive to deliver the highest quality care to our patients and residents every day.

You should be a strong, competent, compassionate leader who will work alongside our DON to support and achieve high standards to build a great clinical team.

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Experience in Infection Prevention will also be a requirement.

Responsibilities:


* Infection Prevention


* Coordinate nursing care for patients, including planning, implementing, and evaluating care and working with other healthcare providers.


* Perform safety assessments of patients and work environment to ensure satisfactory standards of nursing practice.


* Maintain current knowledge of geriatrics, behavior management, and other areas relevant to care of the elderly.


* Maintain knowledge of state nursing statutes and regulations.


* Provide education to staff regarding the development of continuing competence in geriatric care.


* Overall management of the entire nursing department and staffing levels.


* Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures and ensure compliance.


* Responsible for ensuring resident safety and that all residents are treated with utmost respect.


* Develop and conduct in-services for the clinical staff.


* Responsible for the training of nursing staff.


* Coordinates pharmacy services and destruction of expired/discontinued medication.


* Liaison between the facility, physicians and family members.


* Work closely with all other departments to ensure excellent overall resident care.


* Responsible for department budgeting and reporting.


* Responsible for keeping current on any regulation changes and disseminating this information appropriately.


* Participate in QA, Utilization Review and Patient Care conferences.
