Underwriter II - Jaguar Land Rover

Join our dynamic team as an Auto Underwriter II (Jaguar Land Rover Financial Group) in our Auto Finance team.

As an Underwriter II, you will review credit policies and/or pricing exceptions and assist in daily operations that include decisioning automobile applications by our clients.

You will structure decisions to enhance relationships.

Your role requires an emphasis on response time, quantity of applications processed, and quality of applications approved.

You will meet or exceed agreed upon goals for return on equity, volume, conversion ratios, and other business metrics.

You will also initiate sales calls via telephone, and where appropriate, prepare written follow-up.

Additionally, you will provide prompt, accurate responses to all internal and external customer inquiries.

Job responsibilities


* Review and recommend credit decision to more senior underwriters based on amount requested and policy requirements.


* Review credit applications and render the appropriate credit decision within credit policy requirements and in compliance with all regulations.


* Review and approve automobile applications submitted by our clients, placing an emphasis on response time, quantity of applications processed, and quality of applications approved.


* Meet or exceed agreed upon goals for return on equity, volume, conversion ratios, and other business metrics.


* Initiate sales calls via telephone, and where appropriate, prepare written follow-up.


* Provide prompt, accurate responses to all internal and external customer inquiries.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


* Minimum of three years Credit/Auto Finance experience


* Experience reviewing credit bureau reports.


* Working knowledge of credit philosophy and policies, and loan documentation


* Ability to learn Bank's policies and procedures, as well as its products and services.


* Good analytical skills supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.


* Ability to apply good judgement and learn credit policy and documentation
