The jobsite located in Vidor, TX has an opening for a Pipe General Foreman.

What You Will Do

Some core responsibilities for a Pipe General Foreman include:


* Strong knowledge of pipefitting, tools, procedures, and best practices


* Ability to lead multiple foremen and crews


* Assign job tasks to each foreman and ensure that each foreman is properly trained


* Being a safety role model for the team


* Enforcing OPD and client specific safety policies and procedures on the jobsite


* Anticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns and report them to the OPD Superintendent.


* Providing records of work completed to the OPD superintendent


* Communicate with OPD Superintendent as required for material requirements and to schedule NDE for pipe and vessel welding.


* Plan and schedule the pipe sequence that will be installed per area foreman.


* Verify all material is onsite and required to start a package or ISO.


* Verify pipe is designed as client specifications.


* Order all spools and material from laydown yard for each package that is assigned to his crews.


* Coordinate with other area GF's on planning and installing pipe.


* Write and submit RFI's that are requested from the area foremen.


* Communicate with QC on weld changes and NDE requirements.

* Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite


* Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work

Some physical demands of being a Pipe General Foreman include:


* Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.


* Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs...
