Infrastructure Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Provide Cloud platform support including platform usage recommendations, performance analysis, issue troubleshooting, and general user education to internal clients for multiple private cloud offerings.

Troubleshoot priority incidents and participate in root cause analysis.

Send client and stakeholder notifications.

Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure remediation and permanent closure of issues and identify trending issues to drive product improvement.

Participate in on-call support.

Monitor and triage platform alerts.

Contribute to client self-service capabilities via the development of documentation, automation tools, and automated responses.

Learn new cloud technologies and monitoring tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Systems Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as an Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, Technical Lead, Associate (IT), or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Systems Engineering or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as an Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, Technical Lead, Associate (IT), or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Unix; Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, or AWS; troubleshooting issues related to networking, databases, performance, configuration, and identity and access management; participating in root cause analysis process; Java, Python, Unix Shell, or Power Shell; Jira and ServiceNow ticketing systems; providing on-call support; Dynatrace, APM, Splunk, and ELK stack monitoring tools to troubleshoot issues.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time.

Salary: $143,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year.
