HR Coordinator
HR Coordinator Job Description (ROC)
* Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
* Assist in onboarding with new hires
* Administer New Hires, Terminations, Changes in benefit premiums and Address changes in Workday HRIS, with vendors and advise payroll of updates
* Disability Case Management – open cases, liaise with managers and HRBPs, follow up with vendors on cases and coordinate with payroll. For LTD, transition cases to new vendor and continue to follow up and administer the plan in accordance to company policy.
* Answer employee inquiries through ticketing system within HR in a timely manner
* Management of RRSP/REER registration and weekly reports
* Process monthly report for payroll to administer Computer Loan Agreement.
* Run bi-weekly report to update any uploaded personal benefit documents that require action
* Back up other HRSS staff during vacations/leaves
* Management of Group Benefit Plan portal - monthly invoices, update new hires, terminations, changes and liaise with Service Representative regularly
* Manage and monitor performance-related issues and implement changes that could increase productivity
* Work towards improving company policies and procedures
* Provide training and support to other team members of the human resources department as required
* Be well-versed in Provincial laws and regulations – especially in areas of Leave of Absences and Vacation accruals
* Regular collaboration with Payroll, HRIS, HRBP/HRA, Managers and Employees
Skills & Qualifications
* Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
* 1-2 years HR experience an asset
* Significant knowledge of the onboarding process
* A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR
* Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
* Deadline oriented
* Knowledge about conflict management
* Strong decision-making skills
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. Present material to staff in PowerPoint presentations weekly.
* Proficiency in software like MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and WorkDay, Sun Life Group Benefits, AbilitiConnect (Telus), Desjardins
* Enthusiastic about working in a team atmosphere and a willingness to learn
* Bilingual with French and English
