Michael Baker International is seeking to hire an Intern to work out of one of the South Carolina offices.
The successful employee will work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Project Manager with environmental and planning tasks, which may include, but is not limited to, wetland delineations, protected species surveys, environmental compliance inspections, NEPA documentation, and environmental permitting.
The applicant must be willing to work in adverse field conditions and travel throughout South Carolina.
Paid overnight travel is not common but may be necessary on some occasions.

The successful candidate will join a close-knit team of engineers and survey professionals responsible for delivering quality projects to an expanding base of state, local, and private clientele.

* The Survey Party Chief must be a self-starter and will be expected to work with little to no supervision while adhering strictly to Michael Baker and various client standards.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of High School Diploma
* 5-10 years of diverse field survey and field crew leader experience with performing a full range of GPS and conventional surveys (including boundary line traversing, differential levels, high accuracy control surveys, setting aerial targets, construction staking, etc.)
* Must have excellent electronic survey geometry calculation skills, GPS equipment experience.
* Will be subject to drug test and/or background check.
* Must have valid driver's license and be willing to travel routinely, occasionally for extended periods of time.
Preferences:
* Surveyor in Training or professional Survey Registration.
* Experienced and/or familiar with ARDOT Field Data Collection Techniques.
