Your Responsibilities as a Fiber Optic Technician:
* Maintain a thorough knowledge of all relevant construction safety and maintenance operating standards/codes/policies/guidelines/technology.
* Ensures all work is performed safely and efficiently in accordance with Federal, State, company and customer standards and schedules. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
+ perform testing and splicing of fiber optic cable,
+ working on/around telecommunications lines and equipment (overhead and underground facilities),
+ installing fiber optic cable (overhead and underground),
+ conduct and/or assist with required job safety briefings,

+ operates tools, equipment and instruments of the trade and ensures required maintenance is performed,
