This is a remote opportunity.
The International Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Compensation and Pension ("C&P") medical exams, for Veterans and Service Members, with trained VES providers.
Maintain close communication and builds rapport with providers to capture exam availability and build a relationship of trust and confidence.
Speak with veterans when needed to confirm early notice appointments.
Assist veterans and/or providers with any questions they may have.
Share all provider information with Provider Recruiting and Credentialing ("PRC") Department in order to find solutions for difficult geographic areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Search veteran cases in assigned regions within OMS; - Call or email providers to request exam time availability and schedule examinations; - Coordinate with traveling providers to conduct examinations in high volume areas; - Notify veterans if providers call to reschedule; - Add and remove provider block times into OMS when necessary; - Daily check and schedule cases that are assigned the Pending Follow- Up Schedule Status; - Always ensure the appropriate scheduler is assigned to the correct case; Additional Duties and Responsibilities: - Occasionally attend meetings regarding difficult geographic areas in assigned region; - Assist other schedulers if volume in assigned region has diminished; - Promptly address emails and voicemails on a daily basis; - Must abide by HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of records and personal information; Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Intermediate knowledge of pertinent medical terminology; - Advanced verbal and interpersonal skills; - Advanced written communication skills, to include excellent grammar; - Advanced reading and comprehension abilities; - Advanced analytical skills and detail- oriented; - Advanced multi- tasking skills; - Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with strong ability to meet strict deadlines; - Proficient typing skills; and - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, general internet research, and beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Working Conditions: - Casual office environment, with some exposure to mild noise from office equipment and moderate noise generated by staff members; and - Frequently utilizes phone, fax machine, computer, printer, and copy machines.
- Ability to commit to a 2-week training period, with a schedule of 3:00pm-12:00am CT Sunday-Thursday with zero absences required
- Ability to work a shift of 3:00pm-12:00am CT Sunday-Thursday required
