This is a very visible, significant role within the Company, and the Plant Engineering and Operations functions.
This position will report to the Engineer Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Follows site's Safety Policies and Procedures
* Investigate, discuss, and solve complex problems by interacting with manufacturing departments, contractors, and internal customers.
* Help further company culture of implementing new solutions and continually improve existing processes.
* Evaluate current systems and modify as appropriate to improve performance
* Determines root cause of chronic operating problems.
Recommends and assists in implementing solutions
* Investigates opportunities to improve plant through-put, capacity, and implement cost savings opportunities.
* Analyzes production data and quality data to determine optimum operating conditions
* Utilizes Lean manufacturing techniques/tools for identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects
* Provides technical support for capital projects including creating function specification documents
* Support the site's environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and sustainability initiatives
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, other Engineering or Technology Degree
* 5 + years' chemical plant manufacturing experience
The following skills sets are preferred by the business unit:
* Previous experience with cellulose based chemistries
* Control Systems (preferably Emerson Delta-V)
* Aspen Manufacturing system experience
* Knowledge of and/or use of Lean Six Sigma
* Previous experience in Production Operations
* Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
* Hazard Analysis - HAZOP, PHA, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO Systems.

Responsibilities
* Obtain new accounts through direct or brokerage channels for sales.
* Meet or exceed annual business plan as measured by new firms, revenue, membership and profitability objectives.
* Maintain prescribed weekly activity levels.
* Manage the sales process for Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Behavioral products.
* Review and respond to RFP's, manage internal strategy and present quotations.
* Manage database of prospects and assigned producers.
Qualifications
* 5+ years sales experience.
* Prior Insurance experience in Underwriting, Operations or Proven sales track record.
* Experience in managed care sales.
* Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills.
* Self-starter with ability to work independently or as a team to achieve goals and objectives.
* Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work strategically with matrix partners to design presale strategies and proposals.
* Ability to obtain necessary licenses.
* Acceptable driving record.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
