Nemours is seeking a Medical Assistant (Part-Time), to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Medical Assistant is an important liaison between the patient/family, provider, and other care team members.
The Medical Assistant will coordinate patient flow, review charts for current information, and ensure the appropriate paperwork accompanies the patient to the room.

* Obtain authorizations according to the patient's insurance policy for any tests, therapies, DME, etc.

Job Requirements
* High School Diploma required.
Medical Assistant or equivalent training preferred.
* Specialized (one (1) year of training beyond high school).
* Minimum three (3) months of experience.
* BLS from American Heart Association within three months of employment and continue to maintain as required.

Nemours is seeking a Casual Medical Assistant in Jacksonville, FL.
This is a PRN (as needed) medical assistant (MA) position on the MA float team.
This position allows for skills growth and exploration within many of Nemours' specialty departments and clinics.
This position may require travel to multiple Nemours sites within the Jacksonville area, including our main downtown clinic, Fleming Island, Jacksonville South, and Nocatee.
Clinic work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Essential Functions:

Demonstrates proficiency in entering radiology and lab orders as directed by physician and in accordance with approved protocols/standing orders.
3.
Room patients ensuring appropriate documents are with the patient, up to and including required diagnostic reports.
4.
Perform the following in accordance with divisional responsibilities, as directed by physician, and per protocol.
a.
Performing clinical procedures, to include but not limited to the following: i.
performing aseptic procedures ii.
taking vital signs iii.
preparing patients for the provider's care iv.
performing venipunctures and non-intravenous injections v.
observing and reporting patient's signs and symptoms b.
Administering basic first aid.
c.
Assisting with patient examination/treatment.

Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties as required (i.e.

Obtain authorizations according to the patient's insurance policy for any tests, therapies, DME, etc.

The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional video conference and technology based meeting experience to all Nemours associates.
This entails Microsoft Teams and Cisco video infrastructure design, maintenance, and support, conference room equipment maintenance and support, video conference scheduling, creating & managing user accounts, providing technical support, processing Help Desk tickets, and escalating to appropriate teams when necessary.
