General Summary: Under moderate supervision a Refrigeration Technician 2 is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and examining the ammonia refrigeration, and in some cases boiler, and air systems.
This role requires performing preventative maintenance to said systems, and the willingness to respond to any system interruptions and have the flexibility to be on call to conduct emergency repairs.
The technician must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, and moving around the systems.
Must be able to work and communicate with a diverse variety of individuals, including fellow technicians, supervisors, clients and assist with upkeep of critical documents.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, and in some cases boiler, and air systems; as well as Process Safety Management (PSM), is required.
2.
Supports both the PSM and Refrigeration team to maintain and retain all PSM, Refrigeration and Safety documentation.
(SOP’s, LOTO’s and P&ID’s)
3.
Maintains PMs for the refrigeration, and in some cases boiler, and air systems.
4.
Confer with operators as well as observes, tests, and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose root cause of malfunction.
5.
Disassemble machinery and equipment to make repairs.
6.
Perform daily chemical testing and logging all test results, adjusting required to maintain refrigeration & utility systems within established limits.
7.
Periodic use and maintenance of fitted full face respirator.
8.
Assists with inventory control.
9.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required due to working within a small department, as people, items, and equipment at our facilities depend on us.

Other duties as assigned by management.
