Day-in-the-Life of a Pharmacy Technician in-Training:
* Enter sales into the cash register, process payments, and bag prescriptions.
* Manage the pharmacy will-call area, including placing and retrieving prescriptions for customers.
* Pull aged will-calls that are listed on your daily report.
* Take prescription information from customers.
* Answer the telephone in the Pharmacy department.
* Assist customers in the over-the-counter medication area of the retail store.
* Perform routine inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records.
* Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including the use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of yourself and others.
* Organize your work schedule to get the job done, coordinating with support services, and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary.
* Cross-train to assist in other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Active Pharmacy Assistant License in good standing for the state in which one works required.

What you'll do on a typical day:
* Establish work schedules, assign jobs and train staff
* Guide, counsel and encourage employees; improve potential and champion high standards
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with onsite customers and other key partners
* Provide a safe and secure work environment through training and safety inspections
* Assist with evaluating employee performance, providing written and verbal feedback
* Implement and carry out all company policies, procedures and standards
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
* 3 years of relevant experience
* Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
* Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
* To meet government and federal law program requirements which requires U.S.
citizen status
It'd be great if you also have:
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
* 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience
* Bilingual English/Spanish
* Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
* Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
* Strong problem-solving techniques
* Proven ability to follow, promote and implement safety programs
This job requires the ability to:
* Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
* Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
* Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
* Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
