The HR Generalist performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level with both breadth and depth across the functional area of HR Leave & Absence/ Management.
The HR Generalist is empowered to independently resolve a broad range of customer inquiries and requests.

* Initiates the SVMH Leave of Absence request form and guides the employee in the process of formally requesting a leave.
Routes the request form to the respective leader to approve or deny the leave of absence.
The Leave specialist reviews the completed form for final approval and initiates the leave in the HR Information System (HRIS).
* Prepares communication to the employee, leader, and employee health related to the initiation of the leave, extensions, exhaustion and incomplete documentation.
Keeps an open dialogue with the employee to ensure they provide proper documentation, confirming intent to return and updates the HRIS system accordingly.
* Partners with the HRIS, Reporting, and Compliance Specialist to maintain employee database, auditing and provides standard HR reports to the business as needed.
