The Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Academic Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with advanced expertise in neuromuscular disorders with a primary focus on cerebral palsy and spina bifida to join our expanding Neuromuscular and Spasticity Program in Jacksonville, Florida.
You will join a collaborative team of eight pediatric orthopedic surgeons and two pediatric non-operative physicians, as well as twelve advanced practice providers.
The program also includes two Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) specialists, supported by three dedicated advanced practice providers within their service.
Key Responsibilities
Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized expertise in neuromuscular disorders will provide comprehensive orthopedic care for children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and related neuromuscular conditions.
This role includes both advanced clinical practice and leadership within a multidisciplinary neuromuscular and spasticity care model, with opportunities to contribute to program development, clinical pathways, and regional growth.
* Providing comprehensive orthopedic evaluation and surgical management of children with neuromuscular disorders, including cerebral palsy and spina bifida
* Performing complex neuromuscular surgical procedures, including single-event multilevel surgery (SEMLS), neuromuscular hip reconstruction, and lower extremity deformity correction.
Experience or interest in neuromuscular spine surgery is welcomed but not required.
* Leading and participating in multidisciplinary cerebral palsy and spasticity clinics in collaboration with PM&R, neurology and neurosurgery.
* Collaborating closely with physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, and care coordination teams
* Knowledge and experience in interpreting gait analysis and functional assessment data to guide individualized treatment planning and surgical decision-making.
* Contributing to education, quality improvement initiatives, and outcomes-based care

Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment.
What You'll Do:
• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Effectively stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• In compliance with OSHA standards, operate equipment (sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, single/double pallet jacks and RF scanners) in a manner that promotes safety.
• Must be able to meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and may be required to perform other duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.
